History of the firm and its corporate structure
Giffels-Webster Engineers, Inc. (GWE) has operated a successful civil and consulting engineering since the early 1980’s. With years in the civil engineering, planning and development business, we bring a solid working knowledge of county, state and federal requirements.
GWE has years of experience in planning, design, permitting, contract administration, and construction management services for civil engineering projects for both government agencies and private clients in several states. Our clients include governmental agencies, public and privately owned water and wastewater utilities, developers, contractors, attorneys, real estate investors, landowners and financial institutions.
GWE employs personnel consisting of registered engineers, project managers, senior engineering technicians, inspectors, and support staff.
Record of performance and professional accomplishments
GWE has designed, permitted, and performed site design services for numerous public and private sector projects in addition to services for miles of road way networks including intersection, sidewalks and pedestrian facilities through rural and urban areas. Several projects entailed preparation of feasibility and conceptual studies involving wastewater collection facility projects and providing alternative option studies. Some of our public sector clients include Cities of North Port, Punta Gorda and Palmetto, and Sarasota, Charlotte, and Martin Counties.
Project Control. The ultimate objective of a project is to prepare quality product that can be constructed in a timely and economical manner and the plans must be concise, explicit and accurate.
Our approach to an overall project centers on communication, public involvement, and using sound engineering judgment to facilitate an overall superior project that the client will be proud of.
Our primary objective is to ensure that the client’s needs, goals and requirements are met in a cost effective and timely manner. We believe that our clients benefit from our Project Team’s qualifications, experience, and understanding of the technical aspects and budget constraints required for projects. Much of our prior success with our ability to work together as a cohesive team, drawing upon each individual’s and/or firm’s capabilities and expertise. GWE uses this practice routinely both with in-house staff and when working with other firm team members. We feel that it is critical to ensure that everyone is kept up-to-date on current developments and issues, allowing each team member to effectively perform their tasks with sufficient time and understanding to achieve the desired results. This philosophy has proven invaluable on past projects and ultimately benefits the client.
